We at Open arms are committed to providing a loving and caring Christian environment for all those in our care; we will provide good food and medical care and a high standard of education. Our vocational training centres will provide the young people of Cambodia with a high standard of training in all areas of their chosen field.
From Training to Enterprise -From poverty to Freedom
Open Arms train’s young people who are underprivileged or rescued.
Open Arms train’s girls and boys from other Non-Government Organisations in Cambodia there is no charge for the training.
Open Arms will also train girls and boys from the community for a training fee as this helps to support the NGO training.
Open Arms takes in students all year round.
Open Arms not only trains the young people in their chosen skill there is also a course available called Chosen and Precious. The course teaches self-esteem, personal hygiene, personal grooming and healthy relations all founded on biblical principles.
Open Arms also teaches customer service, and a small amount of business principles.
Open Arms has a graduation party each year in February and it is the delight of all the students.
Open Arms beauty school started in 2008 with nine students, to date To date November 2011 67 girls have been and are still training in the centre. Four of the girls have their own salons and are enjoying success. To the best of our knowledge of the 33 girls that have graduated only three are not fully employed. The trainers have other salons ready to employ the girls as they graduate.
The girls learn all aspects of beauty care including hair/ makeup and nail art. The course runs for twelve months.

To date five girls have been trained and Open Arms is hoping to increase this in 2012.
Open Arms will start a tailoring course in February 2012.
The course will be open to rescued and underprivileged boys.
The course will run for twelve months.
The course will include drafting, making shirts and pants for men and blouses for women, curtain making and mending.
Open Arms will only take four boys to start with.
